Senator Ted Stevens Day

The Governor and First Lady, together with the family of Senator Ted Stevens and former Olympians, will celebrate and honor the life of Senator Ted Stevens on November 18, 2010. Governor Parnell has proclaimed November 18, 2010 as Senator Ted Stevens Day.

Mount Stevens and Stevens Icefield will be recognized by the National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service, and a scholarship will be announced by Sean O’ Keefe.

Alaskans are invited to join the celebration at 1pm at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts Discovery Theatre Lobby.
